Yarn

We have been deciding on our range of yarns and what sort of things we would like to sell. I thought I would share the yarns we have decided we will be having as our 'regulars'. All the yarns are named after different nicknames of different members of my family. For example 'Twinkle' is my daughters nickname. 'Dolly' is my sister and i'm 'Princess'...

This one is 'Twinkle' sparkly 4ply sock yarn! 

This one is our 'Dolly' superwash 4ply sock yarn. A great durable yarn for socks and more! 

Then there's 'Princess' which is a Blue Faced Leicester, Silk and Cashmere mix. Perfect for shawls and scarves. 

And last but not least is 'Dandelion' Lace Yarn. A gorgeous 2ply merino lace yarn.

Stitch Markers

I have decided that I need a new hobby I can do in between knitting, working and looking after a one year old. I know, i know... I really have enough on my plate already. To be honest though - I find this quite relaxing. I have been making little stitch markers and sourcing some really gorgeous fimo and resin beads to make them with.

Here are the first few sets. I've been making lots of other ones too. There are chocolates and biscuits and cupcakes, yum! I'll be selling them on the Etsy shop as soon as I can photograph them all. Unfortunately I get very little time to do anything during daylight hours.

Our first batch of yarn....

is ready to be photographed and labelled. Hopefully our labels should arrive from the printers in the next few days. I am so excited!!

It can sometimes take a long time for ideas to make their way into reality! After a year of thoughtful consideration and planning we have finally decided to get our first items up for sale. Welcome to the Little Dandelion Designs Blog! We are a small company run by mother and daughter (Jan and Coral). My name is Jan and I hand-dye my own yarns as well as sewing handmade knitting project bags and accessories.
